It is hard to believe that the last month of Sew Bee Blissful has not only arrived, but is already half over! This evening after a hanging out with Mr. P. (we finally rented The Lorax) I found time to sew up half of my blocks due for this month.
The first block is Shooting Star,I personally like how it turned out,but am not sure the recipient will. As the star blocks she posted for reference are a whole lot different.
Block number two is Modern Star, this is my personal favorite :) I am thinking that this is going to be in a future project! Love the movement in it,and although it looks really hard,it is not.
Both finished blocks. I was going to slip in a sneak peak of my Dots on Dots block, but sadly my camera battery died after the above photos :( So Guess you will just have to wait until Monday, which is my day to post!
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend & find time to sew/craft too :)

Modern Star Block,take 2
So after spending an hour or more harvesting my cinnamon basil bush......
I ended up with about 1 1/2 cups of buds, which,in my opinion, are just as good if not better than
the Leaves! The end harvest, since I had harvested previously, netted a gallon sized bag of leaves :)
On to the sewing room! Tonight I was able to get my block right!! Pretty excited about that :) The one on the left is my first attempt, the one on the right is how it is supposed to look. Woo Hoo!

Just in the Nick of time
Not much sewing went on around here this evening after work, but I did manage to get my Bee blocks for Sew Bee Blissful knocked out this evening.
We were asked to make two QST Pinwheel blocks using this tutorial by Jenna over at SewHappyGeek they were part of her QAL at the beginning of the year.
For the first block I used the dark blue in the center, and try as I might those points just would not line up :(
The second block with the brown with tiny blue flowers in the center. The points are a little better in this block, but still not as nice as I would like them to be. Oh well it is my best,so I am okay with it.
My Firecracker grass,I think it is so cool! It sure is an eye-catcher! Have you entered my Christmas in July Follower Giveaway? You have until Sunday evening to enter :0)
cpace, you left me a comment, thank you so much for becoming a follower :) The only problem is that you are a ~ No Reply Blogger ~ which means if you win I can not contact you to let you know!!! Please leave me a comment with your email in it,that way if you win I can let you know :)

Bee Blocks
Can you believe how fast the weekend flew by? It seems like it was just Friday evening, and here it is Sunday night already!
These are my Sew Bee Blissful blocks for May. The block is FireFly and the fabric
is Ty Pennington's Impressions line. My favorite of the two is the one with the brown.
My first thought was to use the brown and aqua together, but there was not enough for the
pieces needed. These blocks are for Melissa over at Sew Bittersweet Designs she has
an awesome blog :) I love the block she picked, and the fabrics. She is going to make a
quilt for her husband with these blocks! Lucky Guy ;)
Next up my blocks for April,I know they are a little late, but only by a few days. These
are also for Sew Bee Blissful. I don't know the name for these blocks :( Sorry! They are
for Caroline over at Serenity Quilts A sweet blog you should check out :) I don't have
a favorite,I like them both equally. The photo is dark because it was overcast all afternoon,
and evening,I was racing against the clock to finish these before it was to late to see outside!
Made it just in time.
That was all the sewing accomplished this weekend. This morning I also made two batches
of cookies for out lunches this next week :)
Have a super week!

You make my Heart Spin Valentine Mug Rug
Happy Anniversary Bebe! Yes I know it is Valentines Day,however it is also mine and Mr. P's wedding anniversary today :) Would you like some coffee and cinnamon macaroons for desert??? Mr. P did ;)
I have 3 more of the center squares made up,one is like this one, except the heart is a little different. The other 2 are made from different fabrics. Now to get them finished like this one! I also finished another sewing project but that is tomorrows post ;) In other sewing news I also finished my bee blocks for Stash Bee for this month. However I Screwed up big time on my blocks for Sew Bee Blissful! :( Sarah the queen for this month was very sweet and is sending me more fabric. I feel so Horrible about it tho!!! So much so that I have even thought about dropping out,but that would not be fair to the rest of my bee mates. So I am hoping and praying that I Do Not mess up again! Every time I start a new queens blocks I get nervous, the only time I don't is when using my own fabric to make the blocks. Is this just me??? Happy Valentines Day :+)

crayon roll-ups,travel tissue holders & Owlie blocks too!
There are 25 travel tissue holders in this basket, which I started last night and finished tonight. when I add the 10-12 left over from the last craft fair the basket will be just about full.
When I counted up the packets of tissues I counted 25,when I cut out the pieces for the holders I mis-counted and so there was one holder left over. Which will be a start for the next batch!
Today I received another squishie package in the mail! First up is a red owlie outlined in white. Which really makes this block pop!
Here are all the blocks :+) The two owlie blocks a signature block, and a improv block too! 6 Owlie blocks to go!!!

Today when I checked the mail box there were two little squishie packages waiting for me! The first one was from Cindy over at Fluffy sheep quilting These are way to cute! I love how everyone is putting together the blocks.
The second one was from Sarah over at FairyFace Designs It is so awesome to see the blocks on the flickr, but way more so to have them sitting on my sewing table! These blocks are sew adorable :) I am also loving all the recipes, which I will start testing out soon! Mr. P came home complaining that "he had no goodies, and we need to go to the store to get some" LOL! He sure changed his tune when I handed him two Huge candy bars :)

November Bee Blocks
So the Queen for November requested that we make her these Wonky Star blocks. I love the fabric she sent out to use for the blocks!
She said to feel free to play around with the stars. However since this was the first time that I ever made these blocks, I just followed the tut that she provided a link to.

Christmas &Sew Bee Blissful Blocks!
Today was a great day for mail! There were 3 different packages in my box. Each one of them containing swap quilt blocks! First up is my Christmas Block for September! My favorite color is green, which this wonky star has quite a bit of. It is not something that I would have made for myself. Because I have not ever made a star block yet. (need to try that one of these days) I really like it tho! Thank you Partner :)
Next up are blocks for my Sew Bee Blissful block bee. Sorry the photos are not very good,I was trying to take them outside on my deck. The wind came up and so I had to snap them quickly before it blew them away! I requested 2 blocks for my month,a signature block, and if my bee mates wanted to and had enough fabric another 6.5 scrappy block, also for the back of the quilt.
This is the back/bottom. I added a loop for hanging in one of the corners. This was so easy peasy,I got it right the first time! I found the inspiration for this project here.
