My finish for September ~ ALYOF
The Goal for this month was to pick a design from the Doodle Stitches book and try my hand at some embroidery. Since I had not yet sent anything to my nephew for little Axton Rane,I decided now was the time. So the design I chose was a little teddy bear.
Somewhere I had acquired a skein of variegated blue floss,so that is what was used for this first teddy bear. He is a little wonky, but very cute and not half bad for a first attempt at embroidery! I like him so much that I decided to do two more, one in brown and one black. I hope to have those done soon.

What a cute way to embellish a onesie! With the start of fall, I like to open up the windows and air out the house, and of course it makes for better sleeping with the window cracked open a bit.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute teddy bear. I love fall. I love the weather and the colors that I get to decorate with. It is a close tie with Winter as my favorite time of the year.

My favorite thing about fall is the hot soups, spice breads, apples, cobblers, hot apple cider and hot cocoa! All of those warm goodies, combined with a cozy fire and quilts surrounding me, makes me feel cozy, warm and loved!
ReplyDeletethat's your first attempt at embroidery?? wow, well done, it's so neat! I'm not sure I have any favourite things about autumn, it tends to be wet and windy in England! I hate driving home from work in the dark and being cold in our old house... erm,... not doing very well here am I!
ReplyDeletei love the changing leaves, thanks
ReplyDeleteI love the cooler days and the fact that it is almost Christmas. Don't laugh I have already get some presents wrapped.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet teddy bear! Great job on your first embroidery. It was fun, wasn't it?
ReplyDeleteI used the laminate from my make and take to make Bea a lunch box. Hopefully I will get a chance to blog about it soon!
