Fair Day

Today was the craft fair!
Thank Goodness I decided to load up all my things
yesterday evening after work.  Why you ask?
Well we woke up to about 5 inches of snow this morning!
It snowed most of the day too.

This is the left side of my little booth at the fair.  Mr. P
is such a sweet guy,he packed everything in for me :)

The right side of my booth.
Sorry about the quality of the photos, but I took
them with my phone.

We had a very successful day at the fair!  YaY!!!
Although some of the things that I thought would
sell well,didn't sell,or sold poorly.
Some of the things I didn't think would sell well did!

Go figure!  It just goes to show you never can tell
what will and what will not sell well.
Which is why you need to have a variety of items!

This is a little barbed wire tree that another one of the
vendors at the fair was selling.  They had all different sizes,
some were decorated,some were not.
The ones that were decorated cost an extra five dollars.
I just had to have one,but I will decorate it myself :)

Sorry,I was just to lazy tired to do that this evening.
When we had packed up and were on the way home I
noticed that the outside temp was around 16 degrees!
At 4:30 in the afternoon, mind you!
Hope it is warmer where you are :)

Friday Mr. P had the deer inside assembling them.  Midas was
so curious :)  However, every time I tried to snap a good picture of
him he would move at the last second.  He is very good for doing
that!  Sooner or later tho I will be quicker than he is :)

Last up is the Christmas Block I received from one of my partners
for this month.

I Love all the Geese :)
Have a great Sunday!!

crayon roll-ups,travel tissue holders & Owlie blocks too!

There are 25 travel tissue holders in this basket, which I started last night
and finished tonight.  when I add the 10-12 left over from the last
craft fair the basket will be just about full.

When I counted up the packets of tissues I counted 25,when I
cut out the pieces for the holders I mis-counted and so there was
one holder left over.  Which will be a start for the next batch!

Crayon roll-ups there are 14 pictured here.  The 4 at the bottom of
the picture are finished.  I still need to sew on the buttons for
the other 10.  (hopefully during lunches the next couple days)

I decided to go with a stocking stuffer for most of the new items I
made/am finishing up for the craft fair.

Today I received another squishie package in the mail!
First up is a red owlie outlined in white.  Which really makes this
block pop!

I didn't send enough of the border fabric for this little owl :(
Sadly I don't have enough of this print left to finish it myself
either.  So I need to change the border or see about purchasing
a little bit more of this print.
He sure is cute tho :)

Here are all the blocks :+)
The two owlie blocks a signature block, and a improv block too!

6 Owlie blocks to go!!!

Place mats finished!

Finally finished the place mats for Mr. P and I!
This one is mine,I started out with the flying geese
quilt block, and then added some of the same fabrics
in a crazy type border along the sides.

This is Mr. P's place mat.  I started out with the same center
block and then added the blue & gold strips along the sides.

Yesterday we went to the springs (city) and shopped all day.
Mostly we went thrifting, which was quite fun!  We hadn't
done that for a couple months.

We found plates for making more bird feeders,Mr. P sold 3
to one of the ladies in the office where he works!  She is going
to use them for Christmas gifts.
So we needed more plates and jars, since we are planning on
taking some to the craft fair on the 3rd of Dec.

Anyway it was extremely windy here this weekend.  We had
High Wind advisory's all weekend.  When we arrived at the
last thrift store it was already dark.
So this isn't the best picture (took it with my cell phone)
What you see is a Huge pile of Tumble Weeds!

They were all in front of the Ace Hardware store next to the
thrift store we went to.  They were also all the way down the sidewalk
in front of the other stores.

Today we found out that there were wind gusts of 100 miles per hour!!!
All I know is that it was Crazy Windy!

By the way,Followers,if you haven't entered my giveaway
yet,you still have a little time!

I will announce the winner tomorrow evening :)

Fall Scarecrow mini quilt & other sewing

First up,the Fall mini quilt that I made today.
Midas decided that I needed some help with this photo,so he
jumped up on the bed to help :)

I finally persuaded him that his help was not needed.  So he
turned his attention to the mini-blind rod on the bed beside
the quilt.

Here it is in its new home.  The lighting made it hard to get a
good photo!

Next up is a tortilla warmer that I made for Jolene.
The pattern from Teachers Pet,that I used only called
for warm & natural in-between the two bottom pieces.

I am not happy with how this turned out,so will be making
another one with another piece of batting added to the two
top pieces as well.
The whole idea is to keep the tortillas warm, and without
the batting in the top pieces,I don't think that the tortillas
will stay warm for long.

Next up are some bath towels that have been sitting
in my to do pile, for a year now!
It was high time for me to get these done.
The first set is a dusky blue, which I added a strip of
duck fabric to.

The second set is also  blue, but a lighter shade.
On this set I added some fishing fabric.

Next up is my favorite set.  This set is white and
I found a perfect strip of Christmas fabric with
candy on it. :)

Lastly is a deep red/burgundy color set.  For
these I added a strip of fall harvest fabric.
It feels great to finally move these to the done
area of my sewing room :)
I still have one more single white towel to do,but I
haven't decided if yet wither or not to purchase another
towel,or just make a single one.

These will be going to the craft fair with me on the 22nd
of this month.
Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend :)
I am off to watch some football with Mr. P,while making
a pile of yoyos!

Craft Fair update

Today was the craft fair that I have been preparing for ,for the
last 3 weeks.
We got there bright and early and set up.
My things are on the right side of the  booth, and the lady
I shared the booth with set up on the left side.

We managed to stay in the shade for most of the day :)
Which is good, because I wilt in the heat!

A close up of my pillow table and also some of my bags, and
one of my tubs with fleece blankets.

Here is the little magnetic board with the cutest little crocheted
Sun bonnet Sue's that Maggie made:)

Last but not least, the crocheted Patriotic decorations she also
made.  She gave Mr.P and I one after the fair :)
So the out come..
I made over half of the cost of an EZ-Up tent that I have been watching on
eBay! (so that I can do any craft fair I want to )
It has been an awesome day so far.
In about an hour we will be enjoying the fireworks from the comfort
of our deck :)
Happy Independence Day!!!
