Recently I have been telling you about some swaps,and showing you things made for my partners...

Now to show you what I have received in return!  A peak inside the boxy zip pouch received from my partner in the Super Swaps August swap.  This swap was for a zippered pouch or a basket,I asked for a zip pouch.

This pouch has room for lots of stuff...

Like all of these goodies that were in it when it arrived!  I love the fall colors used in the prints and the solid orange my partner used,but especially the leaf/tree print!  Don't you just love the umbrella print?  I sure do!  The candy didn't last a hot minute,although,I did only eat half and shared the other half with Mr. P.

Saturday when I checked the mail my package was there,I was so excited to see which bag was in the box!

My partner had wrapped each extra or goodie item in tissue paper tied with bakers twine,it was just like Christmas!

When I finally got to the last tissue wrapped package in the box,this to-die-for bag was inside!  If you know me at all,then you know how much I Love SunFlowers!

I am just over the moon excited to have received this bag!  I am still smiling from ear to ear,and will be for quite some time to come!

The third swap I joined is the fox swap

Today I finished up this little guy to keep my partner company when she is sewing.  I have not yet started on her main item.  The due date for shipping is September 22,so I have a little bit of time to get it done.

Scrappy sewing week

Good morning,and happy first day of February!  This past week I have been working out of my scraps,yea!  Before getting to that though,recently we have had some new readers/followers around here which has put the total over the 200 mark.  Pretty excited about that :)))  so...

Since it is a new month,I wanted to start off by showing my scrap cutting progress.  This bin was on the verge of overflowing at the beginning of last month!

This pouch is actually made with some of the same fabrics (on the outside)as my Swoon block.  The colors are not showing up correctly though.  I was thinking of sending this along with the larger pouch,but unless I can fix the zipper tabs that will not happen :(

After the zipper tabs fail on the above pouch,I decided more practice was in order.  (also,I plan on selling these at fairs later this year)  So,here are the ten sewn up this week,practice definitely makes better.

Thought you might like to see the main fabrics used for them too.  Yes Hot Wheels,as well as a camping themed one too!  This last summer several guys stopped by my booth to shop,and I decided that there should be some "guy"fabrics included in my products.  Besides,some girls like those things too ;)

All of the above pouches,were made from my smaller than a FQ bin,since I was on a roll...here are another 30 kits all cut and ready to be sewn up!  This idea came to me while making the first ten pouches.  I like it,and plan on doing this with a lot of my staple items.  Although it takes quite a while to do all the cutting,it will be nice to just grab a kit and sew it up.

A finish,and another bag started

My first bag Finish of 2014!

The Fireside Bowl bag is done,and I love it :)  Although I expected to have some issues with this bag(mostly because of the shape)it was a breeze to sew!  Love it when that happens.

I had a hard time getting a photo of the inside,the lighting was not playing nice.  It is a very roomy bag,with a pocket on both the front and backside of the lining.  I shortened one of the pockets from 7 inches high to about 4 inches,and sewed a 1inch line on one side for a pen or pencil.  Also added a little tab for hooking a keychain to,because I hate having to dig around for my keys.

I was finally able to get an opportunity to get outside for a photo shoot!  The weather was amazingly warm for a January day.

Today I started on the first bag of the month bag(button on my side bar).  This pattern is called Bye Bye Love Bag,and is exclusively for members of the Bag of the Month Club.  You can join at anytime if you are interested :)

There are 59 steps to complete this bag,today I made it through step 22,and am ready to start on 23!  Of course,I did cut the pattern out last night,so that helped.

The third project this weekend is this mini Swoon block,it measures in at 8 inches.  The plan is to use this block for the front of a zip pouch I am making for a swap...
