Just a quick post to show some quilty/crafty goings on :)
Twice the Flurry! What you can not see is the Flurry of snow flakes outside :) Yes I know I am a slacker for not having the tree decorated, but shortly after this photo was taken, that situation was remedied.
Inspector Midas, giving the Christmas Tree the once over ;)
Every year one of the ladies at work always asks me to make up some Christmas Ornaments that she can give to her grandchildren. Here is a sample of what I made for her this year.
Another lady at work asked if I would make her a little pouch to hold a couple cc's and snack $$. The only requirements were it had to be small, and it had to be black. She was thrilled to get it today!
Hope everyone is on track and getting all those Christmas projects wound up ;) I am off to work on some more myself!

First Granny Top Finished!
Today Mr. P went hunting,so I went sewing ;) Determined to finish the first Granny quilt top, that is pretty much what I worked on most of the day. It was back into the scrap basket for more white scraps...
While digging around through the rest of my stash for something to use as borders for the sides,I found a partial charm pack of...none other than Flurry! Totally forgot that I had won that last year and only used about a third of it :)
There was enough white scraps left to finish the side borders, with two smallish rectangles about 6x4 inches left! Talk about cutting it close,I sure hope the LQS is able to get some in soon,or I will be heading out of town.
Here are my two October blocks for Stash Bee Hive one, they were sent out on time,I just forgot to post them here. The block for this month was posted today,so I will be working on it in the near future :)
Hope you all enjoyed the extra hour today, and were able to sew up something.

Time for Granny....Squares that is
When all of the Granny Squares blocks and quilts started popping up all over blog land I added them to my "List". Then in August while on vacation, and hanging out with Melissa from SewBitterSweet Designs we went to two of her favorite places,AKA,the local quilt shops :)
Where I picked up this sweet lil jelly roll of Flurry! Which I had been wanting for quite some time, and it fit the bill perfectly, since I had Very Limited space in my luggage for extras. I had already agreed to no checked bags with Mr. P. Believe me,there was not enough room in my carry on for a flea on the way back home ;)
Last evening I was looking for some solid white so that I could start my Christmas Granny Squares Quilt. Would you believe that I could only scrounge up enough for three blocks? All from my scrap bin no less, guess I need to get some more soon!
My first little Granny! The thing that has drawn me to this line from the first is all of the green. Since it is my favorite color :)
The second block, the center block looks like I fussy cut it,but that is not the case at all. I just opened up the jelly roll and started cutting squares :)
I am pretty much just laying out the squares as they come, only changing them around so the exact same print is not next to each other. My design board is working out so good,I might have to make another one or two!
